National Library of China

The National Library of China stood out for its scale, presence, and sense of cultural memory. More than a place for reading or research, it felt like a library shaped by history, preservation, and the weight of what a society chooses to remember.

Pingyang Library

Pingyang Library holds a special place for me because it is part of my hometown. What surprised me most was its scale. In a smaller place, I did not expect to find a library with such a strong sense of space, care, and organization. It left me with a real sense of pride.

Keshen Goodman Public Library

Keshen Goodman Public Library first caught my eye with the small stone figure reading outside the entrance, a playful detail many children would probably love. Inside, the library felt bright, lively, and welcoming, with a busy children’s area and the convenience of free parking.

Alderney Gate Public Library

Alderney Gate Public Library is a waterfront library shaped by light, harbour views, and a warm sense of welcome. What stayed with me most was the quiet energy of the space and the many different people sharing it in their own way.

NSCC Ivany Campus Library

NSCC Ivany Campus Library is the library I now pass almost every day. What first stayed with me was the row of international flags, which gave the space an immediate sense of diversity and welcome. Though it is not large, its view of the water and calm atmosphere make it feel quietly uplifting.

Halifax Central Library

Halifax Central Library was the first library I visited in Halifax. What began as an attraction to its striking architecture gradually became a deeper appreciation for the library as a place of community, support, and connection, and the starting point of my own library journey.
